Happy Friday, Highland Families! 

Thank you for a successful FIRST Open House! It was wonderful to see so many of you and share our Hawks' learning and positive experiences. Your presence and support helped make the evening such a great success. We truly appreciate the time you took to visit and connect with our school team. Please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher if you were unable to attend. We are here for you! 

On the same note of staying connected with us, we wanted to inform you that the Together We Soar Newsletter will be shared with you twice each month on Fridays. Each newsletter will include important information, upcoming events, reminders, celebrations, and updates. Our main goal is to make the Together We Soar newsletter a helpful source of information for families. We highly encourage you to read each newsletter and use it as a source throughout the school year. 

Principal Atto 

Instructional Specialist, AIM Specialist, and Principal Atto had a great time getting ready to welcome our families and Hawks to our Open House night! 

         

Please join us on Wednesday, September 30th for an informative session on the digital tools and programs the district and your student’s school use. We will share information from school staff as well as tech resources in the community.

We’ll also talk about the importance of reading together at home and share simple ways to make reading meaningful and enjoyable for your family.

Join us at Terminal Park on Sunday, September 20th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00  p.m.! Enjoy games and activities, share light snacks with neighbors and friends, and explore the bookmobile while you discover valuable district and community resources.

Many amazing organizations will be present including the Niles Township ELL Parent Center, Hamdard Health Alliance, and the Middle Eastern Immigrant and Refugee Alliance.

The Skokie Public Library Bookmobile will be parked at Payne Street and Keystone Avenue on Thursday afternoons from 3:15 to 4:15. Every Highland student has a Skokie Public Library barcode for book checkout, coordinated with the school.

Highland families can come on board the Bookmobile and browse books. Hold pickup is also available if you requested "Bookmobile” when you placed the hold on the library website.

Our incredible PTA is working super hard to connect our families and teachers to support our Hawks!
